I have a Master of Schools, Society, and Violence (interdisciplinary degree Sociology/Education) from Eastern Michigan University. Before that, I earned a, Bachelor of Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Central Michigan University. And even before that, a long, long time ago, I earned my High School Diploma and graduated as a member of the National Honor Society.
Experience
I've previously tutored Undergraduate students in Sociology. I'm extremely passionate about the field. I currently write copy and perform copyediting for a multitude of blogs, websites, and social media platforms. Additionally, I spend time doing some creative writing, just for fun. I'm a registered yoga instructor. My teaching and practice have given me increased patience, the ability to see things from the eyes of the student, and the experience needed to gently guide someone into knowledge.

Hobbies
I'm a yoga instructor in my spare time, teaching people about stress relief and relaxation. I'm an avid reader, reading anything I can get my hands on, but my favorite genres are Fantasy and Science Fiction. Unable to sit idle, I love to knit in my spare time. Sweaters are my favorite project, though I've never actually knit one for myself. I'm also a HUGE comic book and cartoon nerd. Nerdy enough to have attended conventions...in costume!
